Overview
In English, “Contestee” refers to someone competing in a contest. Contestee is a social network that promotes global talent discovery through competitions. Using Contestee, anyone can showcase their amazing talents, skills, and attributes. Become famous by uploading your videos, collecting votes, and collecting likes!
TestUnity began working on Contestee in November 2019. An Android and iOS application built by a Development Agency was brought to us for validation.
The Challenge
The Contestee Android and iOS applications were built by an external development agency. When the applications were brought to TestUnity for validation, key challenges included:
- Ensuring seamless functionality across both Android and iOS platforms
- Validating critical user journeys: video uploads, voting, and like collection
- Identifying security vulnerabilities in a social networking platform handling user-generated content
- Establishing a long-term regression testing strategy for ongoing feature releases
