  • Project Length 325 hours

Overview

Travel Tech is a completely virtual and free event, which offers tourism trade professionals (tourism, destinations, travels, and hospitality) educational resources and actionable strategies that will help them move toward recovery and improve profitability more quickly.

In this case, the problem was that the client was not sure from where to start, how to start, what was expected out of testing, what types of testing he needed. The only thing he was sure of was that he had a very complex system from the Travel domain with five different parts and almost all were on different platforms.

The Challenge

The client had a highly complex travel domain system with five different parts, each on different platforms. However, they lacked clarity on testing requirements:

  • Uncertain where and how to start testing
  • No clear understanding of expected testing outcomes
  • Lack of knowledge about the types of testing needed
  • Fragmented system across multiple platforms requiring comprehensive coverage

The Solution

TestUnity provided end-to-end testing guidance and execution, including:

  • Test strategy development: Defined testing scope, types, and deliverables
  • Functional testing: Validated all features across five system components
  • Cross-platform testing: Ensured seamless functionality across different platforms
  • Automation support: Leveraged Selenium and Appium for regression cycles

The Approach

A dedicated team of 3 QA engineers followed a structured methodology:

  • Discovery & Planning: Analyzed the complex system to identify critical workflows
  • Test Design: Created detailed test cases for each of the five system parts
  • Execution: Performed functional and integration testing across platforms
  • Reporting: Delivered clear documentation and recommendations for future testing cycles

📊 Key Results

  • Complete test coverage – All five system parts validated
  • Clear testing roadmap – Client gained full clarity on testing requirements
  • Successful event launch – Zero critical issues reported during the live virtual event
  • Reusable test assets – Test cases and scripts available for future events
