  • How do I get updates about upcoming Testcycles?
  • Below are some important points about testcycle updates from Testunity:-

    a) For Android, Website/Web App Testcycles, updates are sent through mails to all testers who registered through our website www.testunity.com as a “Tester”. But our mails go to “Promotion” Category of Gmail account. So, please add our email ids “info@testunity.com” and “support@testunity.com” in your email account’s address book. By doing this, you will get our mails directly in “Primary” category of your Gmail account.
    b) Notifications are sent to our Testunity Android App. You can download it from Google play store and it’s having name “Testunity for Testers”
    c) For iOS testcycles, we always share requirement specific Google forms which needs to be filled first. Then you need to register from our website www.testunity.com as a “Tester”. Once we get complete list, we send mails about updates of all iOS testcycles.

  • What is a valid bug?
  • A reported bug that is marked as valid after it’s review.

  • What is the basis of payment?
  • Payment is done per valid bug basis.

  • My reported bug is not valid?
  • Reasons are as below:-
    a) This could be a duplicate bug
    b) This could be an invalid bug

  • My reported bug is marked as duplicate?
  • A bug is marked as duplicate only when someone else has reported the same bug before this bug was submitted.

  • My reported bug is marked as invalid?
  • A bug is marked invalid in three cases:-
    a) It is not valid as per release notes
    b) It is reported as a new requirement
    c) Bug related information is not proper

  • What is the whole process of testing?
  • Below are the steps from start :-
    Step -1 : Register as a tester (One Time)

    a) Open “www.testunity.com” from your browser.
    b) Click on “Sign up” button on the top right corner of home page.
    c) Choose option as “Tester”, a new form will be opened
    d) Fill all the details and click on “CREATE MY ACCOUNT” button

    Step-2 : Add your mobile device (One Time)
    Steps to Add Mobile

    a) Go to Google PlayStore of your Mobile Phone(Android)
    b) In Apps, search for “Testunity”
    c) You will find “Testunity” App, please download & install.
    d) Now open the Testunity App
    e) Login into App using your registered emailid and password
    f) As soon as you login you will see a screen with text field and a button
    g) Enter the model name of your phone and hit button “Add Device”
    h) You are done.

    Step-3 : Add the App to “My Apps” list

    a) Go to our website www.testunity.com
    b) Click on login button located on top right corner of the home page.
    c) Enter your registered emailid and password
    d) Go to “Active Apps” menu once you are logged in. All started/running testcycles will be available.
    e) Go to Action column, click on “Start testing this App” icon
    f) If there is security code required then enter security code or else it will add App and testcycle under My Apps menu
    g) Hit ok button and then Privacy Policy will appear
    h) Hit Agree and you are done.

    Step-4 : Download the actual App to be tested

    a) Go to Testunity Android App installed on your phone
    b) Login with registered emailid and password
    c) Now once you login you will see Application name you have added
    d) Select your added App and you will see option to download the App
    e) Download and install the App

    Step-5 : Submit Bugs

    a) Go to our website “www.testunity.com”
    b) Login with registered emailid and password
    c) Click on “My Apps” menu, you will get Android App name that is to be tested
    d) Click on Appliction name and then from submenu, choose testcycle name, a new page will open
    e) Click on “App Details” tab to get information about Application to be tested
    f) Click on “Documents” tab to check release notes/ requirement documents of App
    e) Now from “All Bugs” tab click on “Submit Bug” button
    f) Bug Form will open
    g) Fill all the information properly
    h) Submit the bug
    i) After submitting bug, click to “My Bugs” tab. Click on “Bug Number”, a new page will open. Just move to the bottom of that page, there is a button to attach screenshots.

  • How do I register in Testunity?
  • Open “www.testunity.com” from your browser. Click on “Sign up” button on the top right corner of home page. if you are a tester then choose “tester” and if you are a client then choose “Client” option. Fill all the details and click on “CREATE MY ACCOUNT” button.

  • How do I activate my Testunity Web Account?
  • After registration, you will be sent a link on your registered email address. Just click on link and your account will be activated.

  • Is Testunity Android App mandatory for testing?
  • Yes, it is mandatory.

  • How do I install “Testunity App”?
  • Go to “Google Play Store”, search for Testunity App, download and install it.

  • What should I do, if I get a message “You have not added any application” after adding my mobile using Testunity Android App?
  • No need to worry. This message means currently there is no testcycle running.

  • How do I add my Mobile info?
  • Login into Testunity Android App using registered email id and password. “Add Mobile” button will be there, give your mobile name and press this button. Your mobile info will be sent to us.

  • What is Active Apps menu available under my login?
  • Active Apps menu shows the active Apps with testcycles available for testing.

  • How do I add Active Apps to My Apps menu?
  • Under Active Apps menu, all the active Apps with testcyce will be available. Go to Action column, click “Start testing this App” icon. If there is security code required then enter security code or else it will add App under My Apps menu.

  • How do I get Security Code, if I have to test?
  • Security code is sent by mail to all the testers who have opted for testing/selected by us.

  • Is security code required for all applications to test?
  • No, it varies as per client requirement.

  • How do I download Android Apps for testing?
  • First you need to add application from “Active Apps” to “My Apps” menu. Then login into Testunity Android App. You will get option to download from there. Download App from there and install.

  • How do I get App details?
  • Click on “App Details” tab, you will get App related Release notes and other supporting docs .

  • How do I get Requirement Docs before testing?
  • Click on “Documents” tab, you will get App related Release notes and other supporting docs .

  • I have to submit a new bug. How do I decide about the severity or priority of a Bug?
  • Click on “Instructions to submit bug” button available under “All Bugs” tab. A new form will open having all the required information. Just read it carefully.

  • How do I submit bug?
  • Click on “My Apps” menu, you will get Android App name that is to be tested. Click on Application name then choose testcycle name from submenu, a new page will open. Click on “Submit Bug” button under “All Bugs” tab, a new form will open. Fill all the fields properly.
    Alternatively, Click on “My Apps” menu, you will get Android App name that is to be tested. Click on Application name then choose testcycle name from submenu, a new page will open. Click on “Submit Bug” button under “My Bugs” tab, a new form will open. Fill all the fields properly.

  • Where do I find my bugs?
  • Click on “My Apps” menu, you will get Android App name that is to be tested. Click on Application name then choose testcycle name from submenu, a new page will open. Click on “My Bugs” tab and you will get your submitted bugs.

  • Where do I find all bugs of a testcycle?
  • Click on “My Apps” menu, you will get Android App name that is to be tested. Click on Application name then choose testcycle name from submenu, a new page will open. Click on “All Bugs” tab and you will get all submitted bugs.

  • Where do I find all valid bugs of a testcycle?
  • Click on “My Apps” menu, you will get Android App name that is to be tested. Click on Application name then choose testcycle name from submenu, a new page will open. Click on “Valid Bugs” tab and you will get all valid bugs.

  • How do I attach screenshots?
  • After submitting bug, click to “My Bugs” tab. Click on “Bug Number”, a new page will open. Just move to the bottom of that page, there is a button to attach screenshots.

  • When can I edit my reported bug?
  • A bug which is in “Under Review” state could not be edited but if it is under “Change Requested” state then it can be modified.

  • How do I edit my already submitted bugs?
  • Click on “My Bugs” tab. Click on the “edit button” under “Action” column for the particular bug. Edit it and save it again.

  • How do I comment for the bugs?
  • You need to open detailed bug view page by clicking on “Bug Number” under “My Bugs” tab. Move to the bottom of that page and there you can comment in “Comments” box.

  • I have to update my profile?
  • Click on “My Profile menu, a new page will open. Click on “Edit” button to update your basic details under “Who Am I” tab. To update other tabs, first fill all information then click on “Save” button.

  • How do I get my earned money?
  • All testers need to update their bank details from Testunity account. If the amount is very less than payment could be done to Wallet like Paytm.

  • When do I get my earned money?
  • Payment for valid bugs are done in a week after the end of testcycle.

  • Do I need to pay for testing?
  • No, not at all. But there could be App to test which needs subscription, in that case a nominal amount can be deducted from your account. That will totally depend on your wish.
